With VSPD Mobile you can create up to 20 virtual serial ports and use them simultaneously, join VSP and COM serial ports into pairs. Virtual serial port pairs are created during runtime and no reboot is required. Note, when you add a new virtual serial ports pair, the number of available pairs to create will decrease. It is possible to delete a virtual serial port pair, if you don`t need it any more. All these actions are performed during runtime

• Run your programs for debugging and data-logging period
• Test GPS or hardware simulation program

VSPD Mobile gives you an opportunity to test or debug your software as if it was actual serial port connection. You`ll have to create virtual serial ports pair COM7 and COM8 and connect the application you are developing to one port, and emulation software to the other. Everything the first application sends to COM7 will be received by the second application at COM8, and all data sent to COM8 by the second application will be received by the first one at COM7. Same solution can be implemented for data-logging period of your software testing.

• Disable existing serial ports

By default, Windows Mobile offers a limited number of serial ports: COM0-COM9. And in some cases it could appear that this is not enough to suit your needs. If serial ports are occupied by other devices and you need more virtual serial ports to work with, you may disable existing serial ports and create virtual serial ports instead with Virtual Serial Port Driver Mobile. Please, note that disabled ports preserve the state even after system reboot.
